Cuxac d'Aude, 7km north of Narbonne is a typical Mediterranean village with a long history of wine production, it boasts many fabulous houses built by the prosperous wine producers of the "golden age" , during the mid to late 1800's. Canal du midi - Le Somail The Canal du midi passes across South of France, its waterways link the Atlantic and Mediterranean. Some magnificents landscapes of the Canal du Midi in "Le Somail" (5 minutes away from Cuxac). This is a great place for relaxing, cycling, walking and too renting a boat for an unforgetable stroll on the waterways. The Med' with its seemingly endless beaches is about 20 -25 minutes away, as are the Etangs(lagoons), renowned for their wildlife, oyster/mussel farms.
